The annual MC meeting will take place on 23 February in the morning and will be followed by a plenary session on Europe’s S&T research policy on sustainable materials in the afternoon.
Day 2 and 3 are dedicated to the presentation and brain-storming discussion among EU-MACE and EERA’s joint programmes AMPEA and e3s, for initiating new research collaborations bridging materials science and environmental, economic and social science.
The presentation/discussion topics considered are:
Energy material development (across all R&I phases) with a focus on one or more following aspects
- need for sustainability assessment of the materials/technologies being developed – wish list by materials experts
-sustainability assessment tools/methods (e.g. LCA, raw materials reduction, recyclability, toxicity, regulatory aspects, etc.) being used/developed by the members
Societal/ecological/economic impact through sustainability assessment research that can be used/applied for energy materials research.
